In June 2006 Velvet Razor went to the studio
to record their
new EP - The Razor's Edge.
The songs were recorded at Garden Studios in Sutton Green,Guildford.
The recordings showcase some the songs that are part of the bands
diverse live set. The band hopes that this will add fuel to their
growing reputation as a band on the ascent.
Here are some photos of the band at work in the studio:
Jim Gregory just arrived on the Kawasaki!
Dave Mottram - band manager sits and contemplates
on the music to come
Whoops! he spotted the camera and he can't help but grin.
Is this a follower of Satan or has he got his cub scout sign wrong again?
Feel the burn Will!
A sneaky shot of Ian from the Vocal booth, no he is not doing the ironing he is playing the piano
Whoops he heard that, I think he is coming in to beat up the photographer
Will has just discovered the disadvantages of being in a confined studio space with two other flatulant musicians
Nev and Will look on in disbelief as Dave produces his signature strangled cat sounding vocal.
Ian looking happy while Will is in deep concentration
Will is now happy that we have opened the window
and that he can breathe again.
Nev explains the advantages of changing Bass guitar strings more often than once every 9 years. Note the spooky disembodied hand on the left. Whoooooo!
