Video: The Castle by Velvet Razor Live at Guilfest 2008

Video: "The Castle" is the fifth live video filmed at Guilfest 2008.

The song is played live by Guitar based rock band "Velvet Razor".

Velvet Razor comprises of Dave Kent (Vocals & Guitar),

Ian Pickering (Piano / Keyboards / Synths),

Martin Wise (Bass Guitar) and Jason Guy (drums & Percussion)

Parts of Guilfest were broadcasted on The Eagle radio station.

"The Castle" written by ex-Velvet Razor Bassist (and Dave's Kents

younger brother) Will Kent, the song is about medieval combat and

how the marks of war go on long past the battles have ended.

Leaving there marks on the landscape, the psyche, and in deep

cellular memory.

"The Razor's Edge - The Garden Studio Sessions"" available on CDBABY.

This is a percussive song with a mesmerising bass line

played by Martin Wise there is something of a U2 type

feel to the song which really got the crowd going.

Ian Pickering added a touch of Saracen music to evoke the crusades

Jason Guy's rhythmic drums evoke the feel of riding horses.

Velvet Razor played Guilfest 2008!

Saturday 5th July 3:00-3:45pm on The Andertons Live Club Stage
